Non Discriminatory Policy
SWS admits students of any race, color, and national ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. The administration, however, reserves the right to dismiss or refuse admission to anyone unwilling to comply with the school’s regulation or meet academic or behavioral standards.

School Hours
The school day begins promptly at 9:30 a.m. The school day ends at 4:15 p.m. Sunday-Friday.  The school gets closed 30 minutes earlier in winter.

Achievement Tests/ Examinations
Examinations are not for result but for evaluation! SWS will administer an achievement test to measure student progress. Final exams will only be given on the exam date scheduled. If a student misses exams due to illness, a doctor’s note will be required. Moreover, Students performances are regularly examined throughout the year and are awarded with marks and grades. Such areas include: Handwriting, Homework submission, attitude towards other, conduct, project work, book and copy condition, regularity etc.

Dress Code
Uniforms are required in all the grades. Clothing should be clean, neat, and free from holes or rips. Further, student’s who are in non-compliance with the dress code will be asked to change, or if necessary, to call home for a change of clothing to be brought to school.

We actively encourage all children to complete their assignment, read at home every day, and seek necessary help from the seniors. The children are expected to do about two/ three hours of homework in the evening. The children will be assigned with special work during holidays including problem solving, project work, collecting relevant materials, devising and completing survey, art and craft, asking questions/ conducting interviews etc.

Dismissal Procedure
Once students arrive at school, they are not allowed to leave premises until dismissal time except as authorized by the school administration. Students may be checked out of school by means of a written note, email or telephone authorization supplied by either parent-guardian for appointments.  This communication is to be routed through the school office and is subject to verification and approval.

Classroom Visitation
In general, visitations to classrooms are discouraged.  Please contact your teacher to make arrangements if it is necessary to visit. Anybody wanting to do so should seek permission from the principal.  Any visitors to the school must sign in at the office first.

Lunch Guidelines
Students will have a scheduled lunch period and will eat in a supervised lunch area.  No special food stuffs like pizzas, junk foods or else are allowed.

Please do not send sick students to school. Students must be symptom-free for 24 hours before they may return to school. Students who are found to have a communicable disease while at school will be sent home. It is school’s policy to notify families when students have been exposed.

SWS operates a normal infirmary for immediate treatment and first aid. School requires parents-guardians to submit annual authorization forms granting permission to administer medication on school.

Attendance and Tardiness
Regular school attendance is essential for continuity of learning. Consequently, the only excused absences are those involving the student’s illness or family emergencies; all other absences are considered unexcused or anticipated absences. A doctor’s note will waive an absence for secondary students. Petition of sick leave or any form of leave should be made in the students’ diary.

Complaints Procedure
If any parent has a complaint about anything to do with the education of their son or daughter please contact the school reception or front desk officer the first instance. The officer will guide you through process you need to carry with. You can lodge your complaint in writings or through call. In the rare event that the matter is not dealt with to your satisfaction, please approach the office for an appointment with the Principal.

High degree of attention will be given the complaints received and will be addressed as soon as possible.
