Lower Secondary

At Southwestern School (SWS) we look forward to developing competences, skills, and attributes that students possess upon completion of a course or program. We expect them to operate within the interacting domains of knowledge, skills and attitudes.

Curriculum
A comprehensive curriculum is offered with a wider variety of classes in academic, vocational and the fine arts disciplines.
Extra Classes
Extra classes are prepared for those who need and wish to improve being a part of it.

Special Class
Special class is for them who are below average academically to maintain minimum requirement.

Scout Class
To develop leadership and sense of responsibility, students be a part of scout.

3Di School Program
3Di School is a digital arts education program, developed in New Zealand and delivered to educational institutions across globe. Digital media is the main focus of the 3Di program, which strives to teach students about art utilizing creative technology as the foundation for learning in the vision of developing new techniques of learning, soft skills and also to introduce the generations to future technologies.

Make up Test
The students who do not prove in the written test are given chance to prove for second.

Club Activities
Students have to have their compulsory participation in Club activities such as Dancing, Singing, Basketball, Cricket, Public Speaking, Anchoring, Karate, Taekwondo, Wushu and others.

Friends of Zoo (FOZ)
Students be the member of FOZ voluntarily and take the benefits and privileges availed by Central Zoo, Jawalakhel. Students take nocturnal tour to Zoo.

Library Media Services
It consists of three major areas: Television, Audio-visual and Library services to broaden mental horizon of students.

Honours and Remedial Classes
Gifted and talented students in different areas are offered advance course whilst the weaker one are offered with remedial classes.

No Book Day
To be free from head-eating ideas in day to day learning, we have introduced NO Book Day. Students are involved in activities based learning without carrying regular books.

Leadership and Social Activities
Students are encouraged to become involved in activites that contirbute positively to the community and develop leadership.

Fun Filled and Creative Activities
Fete, Science exhibition, Maths Exhibition, Subject-wise Exhibition, Project Work, Report Writing etc.
